[Composition] Sodium sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim
[Character] This product is a yellow liquid.
[Pharmacological Action]
Sulfonamide based anticoccidial drugs. Sulfachlorpyrazine sodium mainly inhibits the development of the second-generation schizonts of coccidia and also acts on the first-generation schizonts. Its peak efficacy appears on the 4th day after infection, delivering good prevention and treatment effects against coccidiosis in chickens.When combined with sulfonamides, diaveridine blocks folate metabolism at two different links to achieve a dual-blocking effect, thereby enhancing the antibacterial activity.
[Indications] Used for chicken coccidiosis.
[Administration and Dosage]
Calculated on the basis of this product.For drinking administration: Add 1.0–2.0 mL per liter of drinking water for chickens, administer continuously for 3 to 5 days.
[Adverse Reactions]
Overdose or prolonged use may easily cause poisoning.
[Precautions]
(1) Prolonged medication may cause sulfonamide poisoning. Therefore, continuous administration via drinking water at the recommended concentration shall not exceed 5 days.
(2) Prohibited for use in laying hens during the laying period.
[Withdrawal Period] 10 days for chicken.
